U.S.S. Westchester County (LST 1167)
Tuesday, October 30 – Friday, November 2, 2018

 LST 1167

In 2018, a very special reunion will be held in White Plains, New York. This meeting will commemorate the 50th anniversary of the mining of the Westchester County (LST 1167) by enemy swimmers on November 1, 1968, that killed 28 servicemen in the Mekong River (in the vicinity of My Tho) for the largest loss of life for the US Navy caused by enemy action during the entire Vietnam War.

Regular events are now being planned for Tuesday October 30 through the morning of November 2. The hotel chosen is the Crowne Plaza in downtown White Plains.  Rooms may also be reserved at that rate on October 29 and November 2 as well.

Much information will be forthcoming in the months ahead.
